Principal's Welcome
Havelock Academy was established in 2007 to broaden the horizons of our students and support them to achieve their potential.
We are proud of everything that we achieve at Havelock Academy.
Our fantastic building was officially opened by HRH The Duchess of Cambridge in March 2013. Since our opening, we have welcomed further visits from the 2014 Commonwealth Games Queen's Baton, Olympic athletes and Members of Parliament. We offer unrivalled enrichment and educational opportunities.
Our community is based on strong relationships and leadership, developed through the house pastoral system. We have eight houses, named after Ross trawlers, who all compete and cooperate with each other in all areas of academy life. The Havelock Way underpins our entire culture, with good manners, taking pride in ourselves and thinking about others being central to our expectations.
I have worked at the academy for a number of years in many different roles, before becoming Principal in 2019. I am proud to work alongside a strong team of teachers and support staff, to deliver an unashamedly ambitious academic curriculum, alongside a wider "Havelock Journey" programme, preparing all of our young people for their next steps. To find out more about the academy, who we are and what we can offer please contact us.
