Curriculum: Key Stage 5

Havelock Academy Sixth Form offers a range of academic and vocational courses.

Preparing for the next stage in your education is key.

Having access to the right information from a reliable source is imperative.

Being inspired about your future is paramount.

We are offering students a choice of four pathways, which are suited to their desired career. The pathways are a mix of A-level qualifications, as well as BTEC qualifications. Students must choose three subjects from a Pathway of their choice.

All Pathways will have an employer link, who will engage with our students on a regular basis, providing them with meaningful encounters throughout the year. Students will work closely with the employers, to gain an insight of what it’s like to work within the different industries.

As part of the wider curriculum, students have a weekly timetabled tutorial session attended by a variety of local employers and universities to support the next stage in their educational journey, career development and RSE/PSHE (including citizenship).

For further information on the curriculum and sixth form, you can contact our Vice Principal, Ms S Hamilton.

For external applicants the academy will accept up to 25 students into the sixth form.

Students that do not achieve at least a grade 4 in English Language and/or Mathematics will study these subjects as part of their curriculum offer.
