Remote Learning at Havelock Academy
We have a three tiered response to how we set remote education work based on DfE guidance.
Students in all situations will follow their normal timetable and this will be accessible in school or from home via the Student Portal
Tier 1 is where we are open to all students, but still set remote education work as homework and for those students who need to self-isolate.
Tier 2 is where we are partially open to students. Some students will be in school, but some students will receive their education remotely.
Tier 3 is where we are closed to all students, except the students of key workers and vulnerable students. The vast majority of students will receive their education remotely.
We are currently in Tier 3. We will notify parents if the tier changes.

Teachers will set tasks on the Student Portal and request one of the following within the task (students should read the task on the Student Portal to know which to do):
- An online task to complete on the Student Portal
- An online quiz to complete on the Student Portal
- An online task to complete in Microsoft Teams (see below for guidance)
- An online task to complete in SENECA/Hegarty Maths

On day one of informing the Academy that you are self-isolating please complete the work below that is relevant to your year group. From day two your teachers will set work as per your timetable via the student portal. The work will be directly related to the lessons that you are missing.

Microsoft Teams
Students can access their academy emails, Microsoft Teams and Google Classroom work by logging in with their academy email address and password at www.secondary.dret.cloud (if students are logged in using a personal GMail/Google account, this will need to be signed out first to access this system).
