Update for Parents and Carers (26/10/2020)
We can confirm that a Year 10 student at Havelock Academy has tested positive for Covid-19. Following guidance from the Department for Education and Public Health England, their entire year group are now self-isolating. A letter has been sent to Year 10 families via MCAS and email. Year 10 students can return to the academy on Wednesday 4th November.* This is a precautionary measure as it is difficult to trace all bubble contacts due to the school being closed for half-term.
The safety of our pupils and staff is our number one priority and we have written to parents to inform them and to reassure them of our processes and practices. We have also conducted a deep clean of the school as part of our ongoing cleaning provision.
The academy reopens after half term to all other year groups as normal on Monday 2nd November. If you have any queries or concerns then you can contact us on enquiries@havelockacademy.co.uk (please note that due to it being half term it may take longer than usual for you to receive a response but we will get back to you as soon as possible).
*Any Y10 students who were absent or isolating on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th October may return to the academy on Monday 2nd November. If any Y10 students were absent or isolating on Tuesday 20th October, they may return to the academy on Tuesday 3rd November. These students will follow a bespoke timetable for two days (or one day incase of Tuesday 3rd November) until the rest of their year group bubble return on Wednesday 4th November. They will not need PE kit on either of these two days.
