Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme.
There are three awards, Bronze, Silver and Gold with four sections to complete for each award: Volunteering, Skills, Physical and Expedition with an additional Residential for the Gold award. With all the opportunities that are available at Havelock as part of the Enrichment programme, many activities can be carried across to achieve the DofE awards. The Mission is: To inspire, guide and support young people in their self-development and recognise their achievements.
Homework Club is held in the Library, where students are able to access the schools facilities.
Choir is open to everyone. The Academy holds at least two concerts each year.
Rowing is a class led by a visiting rowing coach.
Africian Drumming (Djembles) is led by a visiting drummer Dave Cook.
Student Librarians is for students who are training librarians.
Dance is open to all abilities. There are no auditions needed.
Production is open to everyone for the annual Summer production.
