Grimsby's Havelock Academy hosts Easter extravaganza

Students, staff and parents from Grimsby’s Havelock Academy, part of the David Ross Education Trust, came together to host an Easter Extravaganza event for members of the local community.

Over 100 parents and children from local primary and secondary schools attended the spectacular event, where they were joined by the families of teachers, parents, and students from Havelock Academy.

As part of the Easter-themed event, families were joined by the Easter bunny as they hunted for Easter eggs on the school field, crafted their own Easter bonnets and bunny masks, took part in some cake decorating and had a go on the bouncy castle.

Families visiting the Easter Extravaganza also enjoyed a number of outstanding performances from the school’s choir.

A parent who attended the event said: “My children have had such a great time. They loved the Easter egg hunt and the bouncy castle, and we thoroughly enjoyed the performances from Havelock’s school choir.”

Maria Hargreaves, Associate Assistant Principal at Havelock Academy, said: “Our Easter Extravaganza was a great success! It was fantastic to see so many people from our school and local community coming together to enjoy the Easter fun.

“Hosting regular events for our local community is a very important part of life at Havelock Academy, as it’s a great way to thank them for their ongoing support.”
