Local Area Partnership (LAP)

The Academy is part of a Local Area Partnership (LAP), which includes seven primary schools and two children's centres. The creation of the "Fiveways Neighbourhood", which incorporates the wards of East Marsh, Heneage and Sidney Sussex, has opened the opportunity for new ways of cooperating around the common interests of providing effective support for children and their families in the catchment. Havelock works closely with these developing structures and one of the ward councillors, Mr Jon-Paul Howarth, sits on the Havelock Governing Board.

The Havelock LAP comprises:

  • Edward Heneage Primary School
  • Old Clee Juniors School
  • St Mary's Catholic Primary School
  • Strand Community School
  • Weelsby Primary School
  • Welhome Infant School
  • Welhome Junior School
  • Central Children's Centre, Edward Heneage
  • Old Clee Children's Centre

Please click here for the North East Lincolnshire Council's website for information on these schools and children's centres.

The first Independent project of the LAP was a shared initiative to appoint a counsellor. This was achieved on 1 October 2009, after a brief pilot and Mrs Nikki Sullivan, who is based at Havelock, has already been involved in work at Edward Heneage School.

Since 2008, Havelock has enjoyed an excellent relationship with the Care Trust Plus through its Asgard Project.
