Language B
For all but a small number of non-native English speakers, Language B will be a Modern Foreign Language. Havelock currently offers Dutch, French and Swedish as major language options.
The Faculty endeavours to foster in young people an appreciation of the cultural richness of our society and the world in which we live and work.
Staff are committed to providing high quality lessons that seek to motivate pupils and promote the benefits of learning a second language. For students with a first language that is not English, resources are dedicated to supporting their learning of EAL.
Learning a second language brings the world around us closer. International travel and commerce are integral parts of the world in which we live. Studying a second language helps you see things from a different perspective, develop problem solving skills and, above all, will "broaden your horizons".
