The Arts
Welcome to the Arts Faculty at Havelock Academy. We are proud of our strong tradition in the Arts and the many opportunities that are provided for our pupils and the wider community.
The Keystage 3 Arts course in Form 1, 2 and 3 includes lessons in art, dance, music and drama. Students increasingly specialise in performance subjects as they mature their Arts' interests.
GCSE courses in Form 4 and Form 5 include Dance, Art, Performing Arts and Music, as well as BTEC Art and Design. The Sixth Form curriculum currently covers AS and A Level courses in Art, Drama and Theatre Studies and Music, as well as further study for BTEC Art and Design. There are many co-curricular activities for students to be involved in throughout the year. Instrumental tuition is offered in the Academy free of charge and students benefit greatly from the extended schools opportunities in art, music, drama and dance.
