About The Academy - Broadening Horizons
With the support of North East Lincolnshire the Academy sets out to collaborate with a range of parties in providing an independent, pastorally based, innovative curriculum for its students. A global dimension to the Academy's associations will grow in the next few years, along with a greater local project involvement and the development of a new boarding provision. In this academic year, 2011/12, the Academy has approximately 1000 students, equal numbers of boys and girls, and some 150 staff. Academy years are organised as Forms, with students aged 11 entering Form 1 (Year 7). A new Sixth Form is now open, offering a distinctive and challenging opportunity for young, aspiring adults.
